You deserve the same care and attention you so readily give to others.
Parenthood is a journey filled with love, challenges, and constant demands—but it shouldn’t come at the expense of your well-being. When you feel supported, seen, and empowered, you can show up as your best self for your families.
About Me
I am Maria Eugenia Castillo, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As a bilingual therapist and owner of Another Angle Counseling Services, I offer services in both English and Spanish, creating a culturally responsive space where you feel understood and valued. I love helping parents untangle the stress, self-doubt, and exhaustion that come with raising a family while still trying to take care of themselves.
Beyond my work, I find joy in photography, music, and movies—creative outlets that shape my perspective and inform my practice. Just as stories have the power to inspire and transform, I believe therapy can help you rewrite the narratives that no longer serve you, leading to growth, resilience, and meaningful change.
Reaching out for support is a sign of courage. Taking that first step toward therapy is a commitment to yourself and your family’s well-being.
My Approach
Parenthood is full of challenges, but struggling alone doesn’t have to be one of them. My approach is rooted in trust, respect, and collaboration. Using evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Behavioral Activation, I help parents break free from perfectionism, manage anxiety, and build healthier boundaries—without guilt. Our work together will focus on practical strategies to reduce overwhelm, reconnect with your sense of self, and create a version of parenthood that feels more balanced and fulfilling.
You don’t have to choose between being a good parent and being yourself. Therapy can help you feel more present, confident, and in control—both for your family and for you.
Transforming Parenthood
Therapy offers a way forward. I help parents move past burnout and perfectionism so they can find balance, set healthy boundaries, and manage stress effectively. Together, you and I will work to create a version of parenthood where you feel present, fulfilled, and valued—not just as a parent, but as a person.
You deserve support. When you take care of yourself, you show up differently for your family. Let’s create a parenting journey that works for you, not against you.
